Bullock took to social media a few days ago to share a video of the island. It showed a facility being constructed. He shared the video on Instagram.

Last year, Bullock told Marc Spears of Andscape he wanted to invest his money in buying the island.

I found an opportunity down in Belize where I purchased an island that was about 5 acres that I am going to put resort villas on. It’s a vacation spot for me and my family where other people will be able to attend and enjoy different vacation activities.”

He initially send his mother, girlfriend, and siblings to look at one in particular, which had an asking price of $2 million.

Bullock plans to build himself and his family a 4,000-square-foot home on the island and eight villas for guests who want to vacation there.

His other plans for the island include a restaurant/bar, spa, basketball court, and infinity pool.

Bullock is a 10-year NBA veteran and has averaged 7.2 points per game this season. He signed a 3-year deal worth $30.5 million with the Mavericks in 2021, per Bleacher Report.

Mavericks eliminated from playoff contention

Sports Brief earlier reported on the Mavericks getting eliminated from playoff contention after losing 115-112 to the Chicago Bulls at home.

Bullock and Dallas made a deep playoff run last season, reaching the Western Conference finals but have been poor this season.

Many fans expected them to make some noise in the postseason after acquiring Kyrie Irving in February but have failed to do so.
