A lot has happened since Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry last played together. Durant joined the Brooklyn Nets and then left. Curry's Golden State Warriors had the worst record in the league in 2020, then won their fourth NBA title in eight years.

Durant signed with the Phoenix Suns before the February 9th deadline and played just three games before sustaining another injury. Curry has weighed in on Durant's move.

The two veterans will go down as one of the best in NBA history. When Durant joined Curry in Bay Area in 2016, they immediately put the league on notice by winning the 2017 NBA title, going 16-1 in the playoffs.

They won the 2018 title, but injuries plagued their defense in 2019 as they lost to the Toronto Raptors. The forward is looking to win his first title since 2018 with the Suns, per ESPN.

Curry on Durant joining Phoenix

Weeks after Durant officially joined the Nets, Curry finally shared his thoughts on his former teammate signing with the Suns.

"At the end of the day, you know teams are going to be always trying to position themselves to be as strong as possible, to chase the championship, and really nothing should surprise you in the NBA just because you've seen it all," via NBC Sports.

He is looking forward to competing against Durant.

"It's going to be interesting, it's going to be fun."

Given how the Western Conference is going at the moment, there's a high chance that the two future Hall of Famers will meet in the playoffs.

Durant on Suns title chances

Sports Brief earlier reported on Durant confidently saying the Suns can win the NBA title because the players and staff have championship pedigree.

He highlighted that the Suns reached the 2021 NBA Finals, meaning they have the experience of how to get there.

Chris Paul and Devin Booker took the Suns to the finals but lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games. With Durant, the team can confidently go toe to toe with any team in the league.
