Barkley reignited the beef by aiming a jibe at Durant for saying he's not on the same level as the late Kobe Bryant and Lakers star LeBron James because he's never won a title as a leader of the team.

Some NBA fans have persistently questioned Durant's two NBA titles in 2017 and 2018 with the Golden State Warriors. After Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Warriors in the 2016 Western Conference finals, he joined them in free agency.

Considering the Warriors were coming off a 73-9 regular season and the NBA Finals, some felt Durant's move was weak. Others felt that he made the NBA uncompetitive by joining an already-established team.

Barkley calls out Durant

The 34-year-old recently joined the Suns, a team that just made the 2021 NBA Finals. Barkley and Durant have feuded for years. The 2014 MVP has always fired back via Twitter.

The NBA legend and TNT analyst called out Durant again, questioning the legitimacy of his rings.

"He's gonna have to win a championship when he's the leader of the team and he's the best player," Barkley said. "If he wants to be on a level with LeBron and Kobe and those guys, he's gonna have to be the best player as the leader," via Sportskeeda.
