Klay Thompson produced a magnificent performance to help the defending NBA champions Golden State Warriors bounce back from a painful defeat against the Lakers.
The Splash Brother scored 42 points, including 12 three-pointers, as the Warriors won 116-101 over the Houston Rockets.
The Warriors were still without Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green. It was a must-win game against the team with the worst record in the NBA.
Thompson was brilliant all night. It was the second night of a back-to-back, just his second time playing back-to-back games since returning from his career-threatening injuries.

His game-high 42 points came on 12-of-19 shooting from the field, including 12-of-17 from long range, per NBC Sports.
What Thompson said
The 33-year-old missed two seasons with injuries; some feared he might never rediscover his mojo. However, he has proved people wrong in the last few seasons.
"It's incredibly gratifying. I always reflect on the year I was not playing. I think about the time I was sidelined, watching. Now, it's easy to put everything in perspective and appreciate being able to move my body and play with great pace and flow and not even hesitate or think about anything," via ESPN.
The four-time NBA champion also became the first player in NBA history to make 12 3-pointers in multiple games in a season. Both games came in February.
