LeBron James is playing in his 20th season, and despite playing at a high level, he is close to finally retiring.
Before he does that, he wants to play with his son, Bronny, in the NBA. He recently showered praise on his eldest son, saying he can average 30 points per game if he wants to.
Bronny is currently a high school senior at Sierra Canyon in Los Angeles. He was recently projected as a top 10 Draft pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by ESPN.
Due to the current age rules, the 18-year-old will only be eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft. Therefore, the first time a father and son play with or against each other would be in the 2024/25 season. James would turn 40 years old that season, too, per CBS Sports.

LeBron on Bronny's improvement
James, who recently became the NBA's all-time leading scorer, was asked about his son's game and said he has improved almost every aspect of the game.
"I think Bronny has shown that. (He) Plays the game the right way every single night. You know if he wanted to he can, I mean if you want to, He can shoot 20 shots a night and average 30. But it's not always about this. It's about how you can go out and play the right way and play for your team, and all he cares about is winning with great basketball players."

When he gets to the NBA, the 6-foot-3 guard will surely be in the shadow of his great-father.
James wants to play with Bronny
Sports Brief earlier reported on LeBron saying he would like to get on the floor with his son before he retires.
It will be the fourth pairing in the four major U.S. men’s sports after Gordie played with Mark and Marty Howe in the NHL, and Ken Griffey and Tim Raines played with their sons in MLB.
"I need to be on the floor with my boy, I got to be on the floor with Bronny."
His eldest son, currently a senior in high school, is not eligible to play in the NBA until the 2024/25 season under the current collective bargaining agreement rules.
