Patrick Beverley has yet to play for his hometown team Chicago Bulls and has set a new goal. He wants to knock his former team, Los Angeles Lakers, out of the playoffs.
Beverley was traded to the Orlando Magic before the February 9th Trade deadline but was soon waived by coach Jamahl Mosley's team. Although other teams sought his signature, he chose his hometown team.
The ten-year NBA veteran will now be playing for his fifth NBA team and is hoping to help the six-time NBA champions get out of a dreadful run. They have lost their last six games in a row.
The Bulls currently sit 11th in the East with a 26-33 record. They received more bad news a few hours ago that Lonzo Ball would be shut down for the remainder of the season, per USA Today.

Beverley warns Lakers
In a recent episode of his podcast, "The Pat Bev Podcast" the 34-year-old warned his former team.
"Knock them out the playoffs," via ESPN.
The Bulls have two games remaining against the Lakers, a team he started 45 games for this season. Given the Bulls' current predicament, those games could be important in the push for the playoffs.
He knows what he's going to do for the team.
"You know me, I'm going to be on Zach LaVine (expletive). I'm going to give him all the energy he needs. Destroy people. Me and DeMar DeRozan, we good. I got a [pick-and-pop] 5 in [Nikola] Vucevic. I'm excited."
LeBron James sets new goals for the remainder of the current NBA season
NBAThe veteran guard averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 40% from the field.
The Bulls could welcome his shooting as they are last in the NBA in both 3-point makes (10.3) and 3-point attempts (28.8) per game.
What Beverley told Westbrook
Sports Brief earlier reported on what Beverley told Russell Westbrook after news broke that he would sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The two were teammates with the Lakers this season but were both traded before the trade deadline. The two didn't see eye to eye for nearly a decade but seems they quashed their beef.
"I texted him as soon as I heard [the news], he texted me right back. I said, 'Man, you're gonna love it there. You're gonna love it there, man. You're gonna love it there'."
