The 34-year-old's struggles with injuries have come when his team is struggling to get some consistency. Their 29-29 record perfectly describes their season. They are 9th in the Western Conference.

Adding Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to the West will make it difficult for Steve Kerr's team to defend the title they won last season. They'll need to be on top of their game in the remaining 24 games to secure an automatic playoff spot.

Curry begins non-contact drills

There's still no timetable for Curry's return, but the two-time MVP has taken significant steps toward a return to NBA action.

After the team completed practice on Tuesday, Curry stepped on the floor and took shots for his first non-contact court work since he went down with an injury. Kerr had a brief update.

"First time on the court, so he'll do a few things lightly and see where he goes from there," via NBC Sports.

The 2022 NBA Finals MVP has missed the last five games, and his team has gone 2-3. They face the Los Angeles Lakers on the road and will be looking to secure a win without their talisman.

The four-time NBA champion is having a great season despite his struggles with injuries. In 38 NBA games this season, he is averaging 29.4 points per game.

Moreover, the reigning NBA champions will be without Andrew Wiggins, dealing with a family matter.

Gary Payton II, acquired on the trade deadline, will be evaluated in a month as he recovers from a core muscle injury. However, he went through rehab on Tuesday.

Curry debunks load management

Sports Brief earlier reported on Curry explaining the true nature of load management in the NBA. The phenomenon has sparked heated debates among the fan base this season.

The two-time NBA MVP said it is not the player who decides if he wants to play, admitting that it is always the other way around.

Many star players usually miss games when their team is playing on back-to-back nights, often inconveniencing fans who paid for tickets to watch them.
