Charlotte Hornets' leading scorer last season, Miles Bridges may return to NBA action for the first time this season.
The 24-year-old pleaded no contest three months ago to a felony count of injuring a child's parent.
Bridges has been under investigation by the basketball association this season and may still face disciplinary action.
Bridges' career was hanging in the balance in the aftermath of the domestic violence charges. However, there was speculation he was working on a new deal with the Hornets.

Charlotte and Bridges allowed his $7.9 million qualifying offer to expire in October 2022, per SI.
When will Bridges return?
The restricted free agent was drafted 12th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft and spent his first four NBA seasons with the Hornets.
After an incredible 2021/22, averaging 20.2 points, seven rebounds and 3.8 assists - all career highs - he was set to cash in this season.
He told AP that he could return to action in the coming weeks.
"It's been a long process. I might be back in March," he said via ESPN.
Earlier this month, Hornets general manager, Mitch Kupchak revealed he is not sure when the forward may return.
"The NBA is conducting an investigation and I don't know when that is going to end. When it ends, we'll have more information and we'll go from there. I'll leave it up to you to decide what kind of impact that had on our team this year."

NBABridges agreed to plead no contest to the charges in exchange for three years of probation and no jail time.
He must also complete 52 weeks of parenting classes, 52 weeks of domestic violence counselling, and 100 hours of community service.
Bridges discusses new deal
Sports Brief earlier reported on talks between the organization and the 6-foot-7 forward's representatives gathering pace last year.
Klutch Sports was said to be in communication to reportedly work together on how the player will re-acclimatize into the Charlotte community.
Bridges was set for a $100 million-plus offer sheet the Hornets would have matched to retain him, but the domestic violence case changed things.
