2022 NBA champions Golden State Warriors will have to make do without Stephen Curry who is set to miss multiple weeks with an injury sustained in their game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Curry has already missed time this season due to a shoulder injury. With the Warriors struggling for consistency, Curry's absence will be a big blow as they seek to climb up the chaotic Western Conference.
Towards the end of the third quarter, Curry bumped knees with Mavericks McKinley Wright IV as he tried to defend. He hobbled off and was clearly in pain.
The 34-year-old appeared that he was fine to continue, but after further consultation with the team's lead medic, Rick Celebrini, he had to leave the game. X-rays were negative but it seems the injury was significant.

The defending champions were up 20 when their talisman went out but a Mavericks team without Luka Doncic cut the lead to five. However, the hosts hang on to seal a 119l-113 win.

Curry injury update
According to the Athletic, Curry is expected to miss multiple weeks. Diagnosis of the injury and subsequent timeline will be determined after tests in a couple of days.
