The Lakers were down by 25 points at the half after being outscored 45-13 by the Trail Blazers in the second quarter. Darvin Ham's team then outplayed the Blazers in the second half to win 121-112.
Chauncey Billups's side outscored the Lakers by 32 in the second quarter and were on track for a comfortable win. However, a dreadful second half spurred by the ageless LeBron James handed them a terrible defeat. They are now 4-12 in their last 16 games, in the NBA.
The Lakers scored 75 points in the second half and Beverley stole the headlines after his back-and-forth with Blazers star Damian Lillard, per AP.

Beverley inspires the Lakers
According to Dennis Schroder, Ham walked out of the Lakers' locker room after telling his team to figure things out. Ham's exit gave Beverley a chance to stir his teammates, per ESPN.
"Told the guys, 'Just turn our swag up. Understand we're fortunate to play a game that gives us stability to take care of our families, be able to live a lifestyle, a fortunate lifestyle that a lot of people dream about."
