NBAKlay Thompson Assesses Warriors Playoff Chances After Another Disappointing Defeat
- Klay Thompson is not concerned about the Golden State Warriors playoff chances
- The defending NBA champions lost to Chicago Bulls on Sunday leaving them eighth in the Western Conference
- The Warriors finished third last season en route to the 2022 NBA title
The Golden State Warriors suffered yet another defeat, this time to the Chicago Bulls, leaving them with just one win in their last five games. The Bulls beat the reigning NBA champions 132-118 without DeMar DeRozan.
The Warriors are now 8th in a tight Western Conference with a 21-22 record and face tough opponents in their next three games on the road.
They have the worst away record in the NBA (4-17) and face Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers in their next three games, meaning things could get worse before they get better.
Steve Kerr's side finished third last season with a 53-29 record en route to their fourth NBA title in eight years. Coincidentally, they have one of the best records in the league, which they have failed to convert away from home, per ESPN.

Thompson on Warriors playoff chances
After the Bulls defeat, Thompson was asked about the team's chances in the postseason after a frustrating 21-22 start to the season.
Thompson unequivocally said the team has no concerns at all, per NBC Sports.
"None. Zero. Zero. Just get us there healthy and in one piece. Hopefully with a decent seed."
The defending champ[ions have shown they are resilient enough to overcome any difficult situation, therefore, even if they get the eighth seed after the play-in tournament, they will surely be a formidable opponent.
However, nothing is guaranteed. The team has tried to put a streak together but collapsed and given how the West is panning out, they will have to come out and play.
