- He says the writing is on the wall and hints his 11-year career with the Warriors will soon end
- Green has a player option for the 2023/24 season worth $27.5 million to remain with the Warriors
It is hard to imagine Draymond Green in another uniform other than that of the Golden State Warriors, a team that drafted him in the second round in 2012.
He said that his time with the Warriors may be coming to an end after 11 hugely successful seasons. Green's altercation with Jordan Poole in preseason is probably Green's low point with the team.
Green formed a devastating partnership with the Splash Brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and later Kevin Durant. They've won four NBA titles, the latest one coming last season.
Although he hasn't put up record-breaking numbers like Curry and Thompson, Green was a key cog in the Warriors' wheel. He won the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year as the Warriors bulldozed their way to another title.

Green may leave the Warriors
In a recent interview with Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks, the 32-year-old hinted that he could exit the Warriors.
Green has a player option for the 2023/24 season worth $27.5 million to remain at Chase Center. However, he also can decline the player option and become an unrestricted free agent, per NBC Sports.
"Quite frankly, the writing is on the wall. I understand the business. We tend to get into this mindset that someone owes us something because of what we've accomplished. You'd be an idiot to walk around feeling that way."

FootballThe Warriors recently handed long-term contract extensions to Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins.
Green will be 33 years old before the current season ends. He is likely eyeing the last major contract of his successful NBA career. He could look for a deal elsewhere or remain with his current team.
Green on punching Poole
Sports Brief earlier reported on Green revealing that his altercation with Jordan Poole in preseason changed a lot between them.
The four-time NBA champion indicated that there was more to the story, but stated he did not want to disclose any extra information currently. He said the relationship with Green changed.
Green was subsequently suspended and fined and took some time away from the team to work on himself.
