Luka Doncic's excellent clutch performance saw the Dallas Mavericks beat the LA Lakers 119-115 in an entertaining double-overtime thriller at the Crypto.com arena.
Doncic was sensational throughout the game, finishing his 10th triple-double of the season with 35 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. The Slovenian also delivered a clutch performance to steal the win.
The Lakers clamped Doncic for most of the fourth quarter, which allowed them to recover from a 19-point deficit. The 23-year-old was scoreless for the first 11 minutes, and 54 seconds of the fourth quarter before he sunk a step-back three to force overtime.
The Mavericks star then delivered another clutch shot in the final minute of the first overtime period.

Meanwhile, James had a frustrating night. He put up a quiet 24 points, 16 rebounds and nine assists. His overtime performance was underwhelming, as he went 0-of-6 from the floor.
A potential game-winning reverse layup at the first overtime buzzer was emphatically blocked by Mavs center Christian Wood.
James on Doncic
James, 38, is having a great season, but couldn't lift the Lakers against a determined Mavericks team. The Lakers decided not to double-team Doncic with the game on the line.

The Lakers play at home in their next four games, while the Mavericks play the Blazers in back-to-back games before they play four straights at home.

He said Kevin Durant is capable of surpassing his record. He also named the likes of Doncic, Joel Embiid, Kyrie Irving, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
James is expected to become NBA's leading scorer next month, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who has held the record since 1984.
