FootballLeBron James Frustrated With Lakers Front Office Amid Trade Deadline
- LeBron James has directed another jibe at the Lakers for their reluctance to improve the roster
- The 38-year-old appeared to be tired of the Lakers for not trading the 2027 and 2029 first-round picks for better contributors
- The Lakers are 11th in the Western Conference, one and a half games away from a top-six spot
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has once again called out the team's front office for their reluctance in improving the roster.
James appeared to be concerned by the lack of ambition of the Lakers' front office to trade the 2027 and 2029 first-round picks to give him a roster that can challenge for the NBA championship.
At 38 years old, James is showing no signs of slowing down. His impressive performances have seen the Lakers win their last five games in a row, including a thrilling 37-point display in their latest win over the Sacramento Kings.
The four-time NBA champion has aimed several jibes at the team's officials this season. After losing to Miami Heat in late December, he said wanted to win, possibly a dig to the front office.

James calls out Lakers
In an exclusive with the Athletic, James said he is focused on his teammates and will not try to do someone else's job.
He added that he is only worried about his game when asked what communication is like with president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka and owner Jeanie Buss.
"Man listen, I play the game. I worry about who’s in the locker room. I can’t — it’s not my … it’s not my job. I can’t do nobody else’s job."
At the end of the interview, James finished with a telling remark, which is probably a jibe toward the team officials.

The four-time NBA MVP signed a two-year, $97.1 million extension last summer that has a player option for the 2024-/25 season. The Lakers are 19-21 in the Western Conference and have won their last five NBA games.
He is averaging an excellent run at 29.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.7 assists in 31 games this season, per Statmuse.
James desire to play with Bronny
Sports Brief earlier reported on James saying he wants to be on the floor with his son, Bronny James.
"I need to be on the floor with my boy, I got to be on the floor with Bronny."
His eldest son, currently a senior in high school, is not eligible to play in the NBA until the 2024/25 season under the rules of the current collective bargaining agreement.
