Danica relocated to Milton Keynes, a town in Buckinghamshire, to further her rapidly ascending career in the United Kingdom. After three years of racing in the United Kingdom, she finished ninth in the Formula Vauxhall Championship 1999.

She placed second at the 2000 Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch, earning her the Gorsline Scholarship Award for being the most promising young driver on the road course. When her funding ran out in 2001, she returned to the United States.

IndyCar Series career
