Terence Balelo is the new interim Flyweight champion of the world.
The Black Panther claimed the interim title by beating Liridon Ramani in the main event of EFC 114.
Balelo was the interim Bantamweight champion but gave up the title to fight for the Flyweight title instead. Balelo was originally scheduled for the interim strap, but Bones of Steel was forced to withdraw from the bout on short notice after picking up an injury.

The EFC then scrambled to find an opponent and managed to recruit the Belgian police officer to take on Black Panther.
The decision proved to be good, as he needed less than a round to beat Ramani for the title. Balelo finished off the Belgium in round one with a guillotine choke.
The submission came out of nowhere, as it was the Belgian fighter who sought a submission early in the fight. He almost hooked in an armbar, but Black Panther showed his grit as he fought out of it and got back to his feet.
Ramani tried once more to find a way to make the South African tap, but Balelo snapped on the guillotine and forced his opponent to submit.
The Black Panther will now face Nkazimulo Zulu for the title. Zulu is the division's current champion, but he is currently injured. Speaking after the bout, Balelo said that he was focused on celebrating his title win at the moment and wasn't thinking about the unification bout.

Zulu’s ambitions in EFC
Sports Brief previously conducted an interview with King Shaka in which he highlighted his ambitions while in the EFC.
The Bantamweight champ spoke about his desire to hold two titles, as he was preparing to face Gift Walker for the Flyweight belt.
Zulu would win the title at EFC 111 and put his name down in the record books as a two-division champion in the organisation.
