EFC 112 always promised tos bring the heat, and it didn't disappoint.
The stellar fight night at the EFC Performance Centre in Johannesburg featured two title fights, and two Featherweight Grand Prix bouts.
Billy Oosthuizen vs Simbarashe Hokonya
EFC 112’s main card started off in a big way when Oosthuizen took on Hokonya.

Oosthuizen, who is known for his boxing skills, was knocked down early in the first round but recovered quickly.
The South African and Zimbabwean fighters traded grapples on the ground, but neither managed to get the advantage.
Not too long after, the fight experienced a brief stoppage after Billy the Kid was hit with a low blow.
He once again picked himself up and continued fighting, but was knocked down with a nasty hook when the fight resumed. The referee immediately stopped the bout, but Oosthuizen protested that it was stopped too early.
Hokonya now moves on in the Featherweight Grand Prix tournament, with the eventual winner getting a shot at current champion Igeu Kabesa.
Steven Goncalves Ayanda Zwane
The second match in the Featherweight Grand Prix saw Goncalves take on Zwane.
The first round was a pretty even affair, as neither man wanted to over-commit.
Zwane looked the more comfortable fighter in the first round, but that changed in the second.
Goncalves dominated the second round and took Zwane down to the ground. He got his hooks in and controlled his opponent on the ground for the last two minutes of the round. The third and final round was another action-packed five minutes as both men went for the finish.

FootballGoncalves dominated the fight on the ground for the first three minutes, but Zwane got to his feet as the round neared the end.
He chased Goncalves around the cage, attempting to land a knockout blow with every shot. Despite how close the fight was between the two, the judges scored all three rounds in favour of Zwane.
Zwane will now face Hokonya for a shot at Kabesa.
Shadrack Nsua vs Isaac Muluh
It was a case of Cameroon vs the Congo when Nsua took on Muluh.
The fight was a battle between two beasts who wanted to pick up a big win.
The opening minutes of the first round saw both men scope each other out, but the action picked up as the round wore on. Congo’s Nsua started swinging heavy as he tried to land a knockout blow. Unfortunately for Blambee, it was he who was knocked out.

FootballCameroon’s Muluh landed a nasty left hook which dropped Nsua and followed it up with hammer fists on the ground until the referee stepped in.
Speaking after the fight, Muluh mentioned that Cameroonian fighters will always push forward because they had a champion in Francis Ngannou, serving as inspiration.
Kabesa becomes double champion at EFC 112
Kabesa has once again proved why he's considered the greatest MMA athlete on the African continent with his performance at EFC 112.
The Featherweight champion beat Kaleka Kabanda in the co-main event to add the vacant Lightweight tchampionship to his collection.
Kabesa is now a double champion in the organisation, cementing his legacy as one of the best on the continent, Sports Brief reported.
