As noted by Sherdog, Green has probably made his biggest claim yet, saying that he could beat NBA legend, LeBron James.

Speaking about the hypothetical fight, Green said no doubt would come out as the winner.

“If LeBron wanted to fight with me, it wouldn’t be close. He’s a big dude, but he doesn’t have the skills. I’m sorry. Skills pay the bills, sir,” Green joked.

Why Green joked about fighting James

Green’s comments about James came after he learned that his next opponent has the same nickname as himself.

Green will take on Grant Dawson in the main event of UFC Fight Night, ESPN reported, in a battle of the kings.

Green is nicknamed Green, while Dawson is known as King Grant Dawson. Green joked that there can be only one king, and his fight with Dawson would prove who the real king was.

He was then quizzed about James, who is also known as King.

James is often considered the sport’s king, having won numerous accolades and many awards. As noted by the NBA, he made further history by surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

Green is a veteran of over 40 fights, winning 30 and losing 14. 10 of those wins were as a result of a knockout, while he also won nine via submission.

NBA veteran believes he can beat Jones

James Johnson believes that he could not only compete in MMA but also defeat one of the very best.

The former Indiana Pacers power forward recently claimed he could beat UFC Heavyweight champion Jon Jones if he had a year to train.

Jones is considered the GOAT of MMA and has 27 wins and just one defeat, Sports Brief reported.
