FootballEFC 104: Cole ‘The Hitman’ Henning Ends Tapiwe Katikati’s Undefeated Streak
- Zimbabwe's Tapiwe Katikati earned a reputation for finishing all of his previous opponents in the EFC
- Cole Henning had a swollen eye during the fight, but that didn't stop him from pushing forward
- The Hitman submitted Katikati in the third and final round, hooking in a guillotine choke to pick up the win
The co-main event of EFC 104 saw the undefeated Tapiwe Katikati take on Cole Henning in a Lightweight bout.
Katikati came into the fight having finished all of his previous opponents, but Henning ended that streak.
Known for being a power puncher, Katikati looked to end the fight in the first round as he threw wild shots at Henning.
None found their mark, and the experienced Henning countered while his opponent was off balance. The first round was evenly matched, but Henning managed to land cleaner shots.
Round 2
Henning took control from the start of the second round, slamming Katikati down on the mat. After a back-and-forth tussle on the ground, Henning got the back of his opponent and tried to get in a rear naked choke.
Katikati reversed the hold, and the fight eventually got back to a standing position. He did, however, take a lot of damage, and his face told the story. Katikati was bleeding from his nose, but Henning also had a swollen eye from the blows he took.
Round 3
The third and final round didn’t last too long as Henning showed his experience by hooking in a guillotine hold.
The move was locked in deep, and it was only a matter of time before Katikati couldn’t fight it off anymore. Henning won the fight due to submission.
