Darren Till has caused quite a stir in South Africa.
The former UFC fighter is currently in the country to promote a new business, but his business partner has got many fans talking.
Till took to social media to share photos of him with businessman-turned-politician Duduzane Zuma. Duduzane is the son of former state president Jacob Zuma.
Zuma and Till have partnered to launch a new sports and entertainment company in the country.
Till’s new venture with Zuma
The unlikely duo have got together to form Gorilla Fight Club, a sports and entertainment company that promises to stage ‘electrifying events featuring high-profile stars from across multiple industries all around the world,’ Times LIVE reported.
The newly-formed fight club aims to stage fights for sports players, influencers, musicians, and even actors in the boxing ring. An inaugural event is scheduled to take place later this year.
“This is a brand-new concept combining both sport and entertainment while bringing together many popular global stars with huge followings from across a variety of industries,” said Zuma.
“Our events will take place all over the world, and we can guarantee fight fans attending will go away knowing they have witnessed something special on each occasion. There are no limits to what Gorilla Fight Club can achieve, and we look forward to showcasing our product to fight fans around the world in the near future,” Zuma added.
Till’s post causes a stir
While many were shocked by Till’s partnership with Zuma, they were even more shocked by his social media post about it. The British fighter shared photos with Zuma, describing him as the next president.

Du Plessis defeats Till
Dricus du Plessis is still undefeated in the UFC.
The South African fighter secured a submission victory at UFC 282, beating Britain’s Darren Till in Round 3.
The win means Du Plessis moves up to the top ten of the rankings in the Middleweight division, Sports Brief reported.
