Forward Richarlison admitted his World Cup dream was in jeopardy after picking up an injury during Tottenham’s clash against Everton.
The 25-year-old went down in pain in the 50th minute of the clash, and effectively had to be taken off in an apparent calf injury.
Brazilian journalist Joao Castelo-Branco later revealed Richarlison was inconsolable after the injury, and the forward was spotted walking with crutches.
After the game, the Brazilian fought back tears as he opened up on his World Cup chances.

"It's kind of hard to say because it's so close to realising my dream [playing at the World Cup]. I've already suffered an injury similar to this, I hope it can heal as soon as possible. or less. I was stopped about two months at Everton," He told ESPN Brazil.
"I know it's hard to talk right now, but let's see, I'll recover. Monday. I have tests to do, but even walking hurts. Let's wait.
Richarlison’s substitution meant Tottenham had to change shape as he was replaced by Yves Bissouma with the scores 0-0.
Tottenham went on to secure a 2-0 win thanks to a penalty by Harry Kane and a deflected Pierre-Emile Højbjerg strike late on.
Antonio Conte also spoke after the game where he confirmed Richarlison would certainly miss the next game, against Manchester United.
“Yeah for sure he's out against Manchester United, for sure. He felt something in his calf and he won't be available for that game,” the Italian said.
