Nigerian and Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala has stated emphatically that things were not rosy for her years back while growing up as her parents never wanted her to play football.

“My parents did not want me to play football. I was always punished every time I got back home dirty, especially my dad because he wanted me to focus on school work.''
