FootballEarlier, Sports Brief had reported how Bayana Bayana of South Africa again showed they are ready to overthrow Nigeria as the Queens of Africa football after an outstanding opening game victory against the Super Falcons.
Bayana Bayana cruised to a 2-1 victory against the 9-time African champions who were without rhythm as they were dominant for the most part of the game.
Two quick goals in the second half from Jermaine Seoposenwe in the 60th minute and Hildah Magaia three minutes later gave South Africa a comfortable lead against the Super Falcons after a disappointing goalless first half.
Seoposenwe latched on to a deflected ball in the box to shock Nigeria who were tagged as favourites before the game while Magaia converted after she was played through on goal.
