Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has declared his intention to continue improving on his games following his fantastic performance netting brace against Real Madrid.

On Saturday, April 8, Chukwueze was the man of the match after destroying Los Blancos in Spanish La Liga battle at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Nigerian superstar also made history after the game as he is now the second Villarreal player in history after Diego Forlan to score brace against Real Madrid at the Santiago.

There have been speculation surrounding the future of Chukwueze at Villarreal with some Premier League clubs said to be interested in his signature.

What did Chukwueze say?

According to the report on Pulse, the Super Eagles star says the brace against Real Madrid will only boost his morale going into subsequent games.

Villarreal's position on La Liga

Following their win over Real Madrid, Chukwueze and his teammates at Villarreal are now occupying fifth position on the Spanish La Liga table with 47 points after 28 games.

They will be targeting top four finish so as for them to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Why Chukwueze did not join Arsenal

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze disclosed that he was close to joining London club Arsenal shortly after the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup.

Chukwueze stated that the potential deal fell off as the Gunners could not agree with his academy.

The winger was part of the Golden Eaglets that conquered the world in Chile, scoring three goals at the tournament to win the Bronze Ball personally.

After the tournament, several clubs jostled to sign the teenager, including English Premier League giants Arsenal.
