Asked how he has managed to continue to do this, Musa said he has already planned for life after football.
He said:
“I plan for my own life. I am not depending only on football because anytime you can stop football. So it depends on what you save.
“As you can see we have a lot of players who have been struggling after football, so definitely most of us, if we don’t learn from that, we can get frustrated after football.
“After football, there is no salary, so it is what you save that you will get.”
The most-capped Nigerian international also added that he was encouraged by older players in the past and has, in turn, continued to encourage the young players.
Musa added:
“I have to encourage them because when I was younger than them, playing with the likes of Yobo, Obafemi Martins, Mikel – they encouraged me too, so right now I have to do the same.

Musa to complete building left by late fan
Sports Brief earlier reported that Ahmed Musa continued with his exemplary gestures when he offered to complete a building under construction by his fan, who recently passed away.
Kamal Aboki was said to be a staunch fan of the Sivasspor of Turkey forward, but he passed away in a fatal accident recently.
The former CSKA Moscow forward noticed an uncompleted building in the compound and was told the late Aboki was building a new home for his parents and promised to finish it.
