Flying Eagles of Nigeria have recorded their first win at the ongoing 2023 African Under 20 Nations Cup beating hosts Egypt 1-0 in their second group game on Wednesday night, 22 February.
The encounter was a challenging one for Ladan Bosso and his wards considering the fact that they were playing against the host nation in which the home fans would be against them.
Going into this game, the Nigerian players knew that they must win it having suffered a defeat against Senegal in their opening game.
They however did themselves lots of good by winning the game thereby having the chance to progress to the next round depending on the outcome of their final group game.

When did Nigeria score?
The Flying Eagles were unable to score in the first half of the game as the Egyptians were also eager to make their fans happy in the encounter.
Solomon Agbalaka eventually nodded home powerfully from Aminu Muhammadu’s corner-kick in the 71st minute to give Nigeria the win.
