Jose Peseiro who is the head coach of the Super Eagles has confirmed his readiness to convince Atalanta defender Caleb Okoli in switching his international allegiance to Nigeria.
The Portuguese tactician was appointed as the Super Eagles coach in May this year following Nigeria's failure to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup losing the play-offs to Ghana.
And since Peseiro came on board, he has been trying to fix many things in the Nigerian team and also set a target of winning the next African Cup of Nations.
Peseiro and his wards will soon start preparation for their coming international friendly against Portugal, and according to a report on Naija Footballers, he stated that he will talk to Okoli after the game.

Peseiro's statement about Okoli
"Yes we will try. After this friendly match against Portugal, there will be time to talk to him and to understand his decision. Whether he wants to play with us or not. I will talk to him through Lookman. I will present my model to him, what do I think of him, the project we can have together with Nigeria".
The Portugal vs Nigeria match will be held on Thursday night, November 17.
