The head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Jose Peseiro has applauded Victor Osimhen, who is in blistering form for Napoli this season.

Osimhen has scored 9 goals in 13 Serie A matches this campaign, and his efforts have helped the Parthenope remain top of the standings.

Despite injury concerns, the former Lille of France striker has contributed immensely to the Italian club since he joined the outfit in the summer of 2020.

Peseiro is delighted with the 23-year-old, with the Super Eagles coach stating the forward is one of the best at the moment.

The Portuguese coach said to Napoli Magazine, as per Soccernet:

“Osimhen scores a lot and he is young. It is certainly not easy; usually a centre forward finds this level later on. But he always scores - at this moment, I don’t think I’m wrong if I say that every team in the world wants to buy him."

Peseiro hailed Osimhen for knowing how to press the attack, how to score and how to use his body, adding that the forward would fit well into any team.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has reportedly identified Victor Osimhen as the perfect replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
