Former Chelsea captain John Terry has paid touching tribute to his former teammate John Obi Mikel who recently announced his retirement from football after 20 glorious years.
For the 11 years that John Obi Mikel spent in the Premier League with Chelsea, the former Super Eagles captain won titles with John Terry in what was an incredible career.
Mikel started his football career on the streets of Jos in Plateau State from where he moved to Pepsi Academy and also Plateau United before moving to Europe.
While congratulating Obi Mikel on his official Instagram page, John Terry explained that it was a pleasure to have shared the dressing room with the Nigerian football legend.

“What a great career my friend, it was a pleasure to play and share a dressing room with you. Love you Georgie Boy.
“Thanks, Georgie boy, love ya old boy. You made us winners in that dressing room. And loads of banter, thank you,” Mikel responded to Terry.
At Stamford Bridge, John Terry and Mikel Obi won the Premier League and Champions League titles together before the Nigerian left.
