Sao Tome & Principe will on Monday afternoon, 13 June, be hosting the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the match-day 2 encounter of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Having defeated visiting Sierra Leone 2-1 in their first game last week at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, Super Eagles players left the country on Saturday with boosted morale.
Sierra Leone took a surprise lead in Abuja against the Super Eagles before Alex Iwobi and Victor Osimhen scored for Jose Peseiro to get his first win as coach of the three-times African champions.

According to a statement from NFF, the team touched down at the Aeroport Agadir Almarissa at exactly 8.15 am on Sunday, with a total of 25 players and a technical and administrative crew.
Nigeria’s delegation to Morocco was led by NFF 2nd Vice President, Mallam Shehu Dikko.
The delegation also included the General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, a number of board members, a couple of NFF Management and Staff, a few stakeholders and some media representatives.
