And four minutes before halftime, the Super Eagles took the lead as Victor Osimhen tucked home from close range to help Nigeria claim all three points.

FootballPrior to the fixture, Musa admitted that playing in the Super Eagles is a tough call and a huge responsibility, urging Nigerian fans to be patient with new players. He said:
“Super Eagles when you come, you need time, 5 minutes, 10 minutes. I started with 5 minutes and that has taken me where I am today. Give them that confidence; the Super Eagles is very difficult.
“Give them time, encourage them. We know the World Cup is big. A lot of us lost businesses just because we did not qualify for the World Cup. We the players take responsibility.
The Fatih Karagumruk of Turkey forward also stated that Nigeria has the kind of players that can bring glory to the nation. He added:
“With the kind of players we need right now, it’s just concentration that we need and someone that believes in us. We need Nigerians to still believe in the players.
