Gernot Rohr has reported the Nigeria Football Federation to the World governing body, FIFA, over allegations of a breach of contract.
The former Bayern Munich defender had been in charge of the Super Eagles for 5 years before he was sacked by the NFF following a series of poor performances in the World Cup qualifiers.
Rohr was replaced by Augustine Eguavoen in December 2021, with the former Nigeria defender leading the Super Eagles to the second round of the AFCON and also failed to qualify Nigeria for the 2022 World Cup.
According to a report via Soccernet, Rohr is now demanding a whooping $1million as compensation from the NFF following his sacking.
Gernot Rohr who is Nigeria’s longest-serving manager, qualified the Super Eagles for the 2018 World Cup and also won a bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation is awaiting a verdict from FIFA after it was dragged to the World football body by its former employee, Gernot Rohr.
According to the BBC, a FIFA tribunal examining Gernot Rohr's claim for damages concluded last week after the Franco-German demanded $1million as damages for breach of contract.
The NFF agreed to pay Rohr's salary until the conclusion of his contract, which runs in December 2022, but he proceeded to FIFA to demand an additional sum as compensation.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported the Nigerian Football Federation has been asked to tender an apology to the former coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr by Nigerians.
The three-time African champions had failed in their attempt to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after they were stunned by Ghana in the play-offs.
Fans have now taken to social media to lambast the Nigerian Football Federation's decision to sack Gernot Rohr.
