Newcastle United, West Ham and Southampton who are Premier League have are reportedly in race to sign Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi who currently plays for Union Berlin.

His performances so far this season in the German Bundesliga for Union Berlin is said to have convinced those in charge of these three Premier League teams to join race for his signature.

Since joining Union Berlin last summer permanently from Liverpool, Taiwo Awoniyi has been in superb form for the German side netting 16 goals in 35 games this season.

Why did Taiwo Awoniyi leave Premier League side Liverpool?

Taiwo Awoniyi joined Liverpool as an 18-year-old in 2015 but left without making a senior appearance as he was unable to secure a UK work permit.

According to the report on GOAL, Newcastle, West Ham and Southampton are ready to meet Union Berlin's asking price for Taiwo Awoniyi at the end of the ongoing season.

Speaking to Sports Brief on this latest development, Taiwo Awoniyi made it clear that he will grab any chance for him to return to England and play in the Premier League.
