''First and foremost, as Nigerians, we share your emotions and we take our responsibility as a group.
''We sincerely thank the Nigerian fans for their overwhelming support, the NFF President who did everything possible to make the qualification happen and of course the Minister.

Nigerians attack 2 men for Super Eagles' failure to qualify for 2022 World Cup

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Amaju Pinnick who is the president of the Nigerian Football Federation has been told by angry fans to resign his position following Super Eagles' failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

It was a sad night for all Nigerians on Tuesday, 29 March, as the Black Stars of Ghana forced the Super Eagles to a 1-1 draw and qualified for the 2022 World Cup on away goal rules.

Ghana even scored first in the second leg encounter at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja through Thomas Partey before Super Eagles fought back and restored parity through Troost-Ekong's penalty.

All efforts by the Super Eagles players to get the winner against Ghana were futile as the encounter ended in a 1-1 draw.

Many Nigerian football fans are of the opinions that NFF president Amaju Pinnick should resign following the Super Eagles' failure.
