Erstwhile Nigeria international Arthur Ebunam has urged those in charge of Nigerian football to immediately sack Augustine Eguavoen as coach of the Super Eagles with hours to crucial game against Ghana.
Arthur Ebunam is of the views that Eguavoen does not have the quality to handle the Super Eagles and wants the Nigerian Football Federation to replace him with another gaffer.
Having gotten a draw against Ghana in Kumasi, Eguavoen and his wards are preparing for the second leg in Abuja on Tuesday evening against the Black Stars which will be very challenging.
When did NFF chiefs appoint Eguavoen as Super Eagles coach?
It was in December 2021 that the NFF sacked Gernot Rohr and drafted in Eguavoen on interim capacity and he led the Super Eagles to Cameroon for the African Cup of Nations.
According to the report on GOAL, Arthur Ebunam stated clearly that the team under Eguavoen has no pattern and many things must be done by the NFF chiefs.

“I appraise the Super Eagles performance against Ghana below 50%. Unless the coach is changed because he lacks tactical knowledge of the game, l don’t see the team going to Qatar.

Chukwueze sits out of Super Eagles training, set to miss Ghana clash in Abuja due to injury
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Samuel Chukwueze is nursing slight groin injury and was forced to sit out of the Super Eagles training in Abuja on Sunday, 27 March, ahead of the return leg against Ghana.
