Samuel Chukwueze is nursing slight groin injury and was forced to sit out of the Super Eagles training in Abuja on Sunday, 27 March, ahead of the return leg against Ghana.

The Villarreal winger is now set to miss the crucial encounter between the Super Eagles and Ghana in Abuja on Tuesday evening, 29 March, in final duel for the 2022 World Cup ticket.

Chukwueze started for the Super Eagles in Kumasi against Ghana, but the winger was unable shine against the Black Stars before he was substituted in the second half.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Super Eagles assistant coach Emmanuel Amuneke explained that Samuel Chukwueze's injury is not a serious one adding that he was asked to sit out of training as a precaution.
