The Nigeria Football Federation has revealed they are stunned by the sudden death of former Super Eagles international, Justice Christopher.
The 41-year-old was reported to have slumped and died in his hotel room in the Northern city of Jos, Plateau State.
According to Punch, the deceased had reportedly been battling high blood pressure before his demise.
Christopher had played for Nigeria at youth and senior levels between 2001 and 2002, during which he amassed a total of 11 caps for the Super Eagles.

FootballThe NFF revealed Justice Christopher's death was a thing of deep sorrow and devastation to Nigerian football.
“This is devastating. Justice Christopher was young and full of life. His death is a thing of deep sorrow here at the NFF and the entire Nigeria Football ambience. There was no report that he was ill. We are stunned to hear of his death.
“We pray that God will grant him eternal rest and comfort the family that he has left behind.”
Justice Christopher featured for a handful oF Nigerian clubs before having spells in Belgium, Sweden, Russia and Denmark.
Meanwhile, former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo has paid a glowing tribute to former teammate Justice Christopher who died on Wednesday, March 9.
According to the BBC, the Super Eagles assistant coach revealed Justice Christopher Christopher was a gentleman and that he is saddened to hear of his death.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Nigerian football fraternities have been thrown into deep mourning following the shocking demise of former Super Eagles midfielder Justice Christopher who died on Wednesday morning, 9 March.
The former Nasarawa United star was reported to have slumped in a hotel room in Jos, Plateau state, and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Justice Christopher has been under the radar since he retired from football after leaving Nigerian Professional Football League side Nasarawa United in 2012.
