Former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia has compared Crystal Palace midfielder, Eberechi Eze to Nigeria’s midfield icon, Jay-Jay Okocha.
Siasia believes the 23-year-old is as gifted with his ball distribution techniques just like Okocha and will be a perfect fit in the current Super Eagles squad.
According to a report on Complete Sports, Samson Siasia has beckoned on Super Eagles coach, Augustine Eguavoen to intensify efforts in convincing Eberechi Eze to play for Nigeria.
“Well, we don’t just have a number 10, that is a creative midfielder in the mode of Jay-Jay Okocha that can distribute accurate passes to the strikers.
“We don’t just have them now and that is why I have been thinking of Chidera Eze with Crystal Palace. The Super Eagles need that player. He could be the next Okocha if we invite him.

Meanwhile, Samson Siasia has indicated that the current Super Eagles squad lacks a creative midfielder.
According to The Sun, the Olympic silver medalist winning coach blamed the lack of a creative midfielder in the Super Eagles as the reason for the lack of goal-scoring form from the Nigerian attackers.
Siasia says the missing link in the present Super Eagles squad as he says the strikers in the team are good enough but are not being properly serviced from the midfield.
