Wilfred Ndidi has disclosed that the relationship between him and Kelechi Iheanacho is superb stressing that he has known the Leicester City teammate since they were young.
These two players are currently playing at the top level in the Premier League and at the same time featuring for the Super Eagles of Nigeria as they also appeared at last AFCON in Cameroon.
At the recently concluded 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Super Eagles of Nigeria won their first three games at the competition with Iheanacho netting once before losing in the knockout against Tunisia.
Last season, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho also helped Leicester City to win the FA Cup title beating Chelsea in the final which was a massive record for these two Nigerians.
According to the report on Soccernet and Sporting Life, Wilfred Ndidi explained that the relationship between him and Kelechi Iheanacho is very great.

“The relationship between me and Kel is very great.
“It’s amazing because people just thought we were team-mates, playing for Leicester and playing for the national team.
“But I’ve known Kelechi since we were in the academy, very young, so it’s not just new. We’ve been very close since we were in Nigeria Under-17s together. It’s been amazing having him around. I’m enjoying every moment.”

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Paul Onauchu resumed his chase for another top scorers award in Belgium as the Super Eagles striker scored as Racing Genk defeated Standard Liege on Sunday, February 13.
It was Onauchu’s 14th goal of the season in all competitions for Racing Genk as the striker’s 53rd-minute strike sealed a 2-0 win over arch-rivals Liege.
The lanky Nigerian striker had a goal disallowed as early as the second minute for offside but got his goal in the second half of the encounter.
The 27-year-old’s goal took his tally for the Belgian outfit to 14 goals in all competitions as the striker pushes to win consecutive top scorers awards in the Jupiler League.
