Mohammed Salisu has popped up on the radar of Chelsea as a possible option for the Blues following a prolonged contract talks with Antonio Rüdiger.
Rüdiger who contract with the London club expires in the summer transfer window has been reluctant to extend his stay over wage demands.
And it has emerged that should the former AS Roma player fail to reach an agreement with Chelsea, Salisu could be a potential replacement, according to Squakwa.
"Should Chelsea want to look a bit closer to home, but still outside of Cobham, Mohammed Salisu is getting along nicely at Southampton. The Ghanaian centre-back is still only 22 but is one of the top defenders in the Premier League, albeit slightly under the radar," wrote the statistic website.
