Bloemfontein Celtic's die hard supporters protest outside Macufe Cup venue before Kaizer Chiefs vs Royal AM
Die-hard Bloemfontein Celtic fans are protesting the Macufe Cup match between Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM later today.
They flocked outside the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein where the match will take place. Royal AM is a touchy subject for these supporters, as its owner Shauwn Mkhize bought Celtics' Premier Soccer League status last year.
They vowed not to buy the match tickets, and would camp outside the venue of the fixture in its entirety.
One of the protestors reportedly said:
"We are not blaming MaMkhize, but the club brings back memories of our brand being moved to KZN. Maybe tournament organiser Ben Moseme should have brought another Free State team. Then we were gonna come and support it. Our heart is painful."

"Look, Ben is trying to please everyone, but he went the wrong way with Royal AM. We will not go to the stadium and sing for MaMkhize. Even our government is to blame here because they, too, lied to us. They made promises they couldn't keep. We would rather sit outside and sing."
