John Maduka pulled a blindside of note when he resigned from Royal AM to join Maritzburg United.
The former Thwili Thwala coach achieved great success with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit, leading them to third place in the DStv Premiership and a semi-final spot in the Nedbank Cup.
Maduka made headlines though when rumours did the rounds that he had handed in his resignation. The rumours were never confirmed by the club or Maduka himself until he was eventually unveiled as Maritzburg United manager.
Maduka has now explained the reason behind him making the move, describing his future with Shauwn Mkhize’s side as uncertain, The Daily Sun reported.
