Jose Mourinho has spoken about his future at AS Roma amid rumours he could rejoin Chelsea.

The Englishman, who landed the role back in September, was shown the door after leading the Blues to a woeful run of form that saw the club drop to 11th in the standings.

This followed a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho speaks on Roma future

Potter's departure sparked rumours Mourinho could be in the frame to take over the Chelsea hot seat.

The Portuguese boss has now come out to address his Roma future and appeared to leave the door open over a potential return to the Blues.

"I have another year left, but contracts sometimes are not the most important thing," the veteran manager was quoted as saying by Football Italia.

Should Mourinho return to Stamford Bridge, it would be his third stint with the west London club, having previously managed them on two separate occasions.

Mourinho makes demand to Roma

In related news, Sports Brief reported on Mourinho being one of the best managers of his era and being skilled in communicating to players, club bosses, and the media.

In 2021, a few months after he was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur, he made a shock move to become manager of the Italian club AS Roma, signing a three-year contract.

Mourinho has reportedly issued demands to management of his new club, demanding a new centre-back, a new midfielder, and a new striker to help his plans.
