Ghanaian teen sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan has chalked another incredible feat in his young career after emerging the fastest player in the Italian serie A.

The 19-year-old was named the fastest player in the month of January after a very good start to the year with Italian giants AS Roma.

In a post on Twitter by Serie A, the young forward beat Lazio's Ciro Immobile and Juventus' Juan Cuadrado to emerge top of the quickest players in the league.

The teenager recorded a speed of 35.6 km/h, while Immobile and Cuadrado clocked 35.3 km/h.

Afena-Gyan has seen a lot of game time in January, after starting games against Juventus, Cagliari and Lecce.

Manager Jose Mourinho prefers starting him ahead of Eldor Shomurodov following his contributions to the team.

The latest achievement is expected to boost his confidence as he continues to find his foot in Italy.

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ghanaian teen sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan was the hero of the day after coming off the bench to score two late goals as AS Roma beat Genoa in the serie A on Sunday.

The then 18-year-old needed only seven minutes to break the deadlock after connecting to a Henrik Mikhytaryan pass.

He then netted a belter in injury time as the Romans picked all three points. In photos posted on Twitter, the teenager is seen celebrating with his teammates after a heroic display.

Ghanaian teen sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan shared an emotional moment with his lovely mum, Madam Juliet Adubea, after his two-goal hero display for AS Roma.

The 18-year-old climbed off the bench to score two late goals as AS Roma beat Genoa 2-0 on Sunday, November 21, 2021 in the Italian serie A.

In a Twitter conversation with his mother, Afena-Gyan reiterated his love for his mother with his mum reply and stating how proud she is.
