Speaking on Bale’s retirement, Pep Guardiola, who is all too familiar with the Welshman’s talents, joked he could perform well in golf now that he has free time on his hands.
"He was busy maybe now he has time, I will invite him again," Guardiola Said as quoted on Manchester Evening news.
"What a player. Fantastic career won a lot of things. I think he represents Wales with more than 100 caps and now he can become a fantastic golf player."
Bale's career
Bale started his club career at Southampton but made his name as a world-class player at Tottenham Hotspur.
At Tottenham, he was twice named the player of the year, despite not winning any silverware with the North Londoners.
His 31 goals for club and country in the 2012/13 campaign inevitably meant Spurs would struggle to retain his services, and Real Madrid came calling. A massive £85 ($104 million) was agreed for the Welshman to move to the famous Santiago Bernabeu.
