FootballLos Blancos are currently in second place on the league table, trailing their arch-rivals Barcelona.
With Benzema out to show Didier Deschamps that it was a mistake to keep him out of the squad, Madrid could have a focused and deadly striker leading the line.
The Ballon d’Or winner was ruled out of the tournament in Qatar through injury before the World Cup got underway.
He was then sent home to recuperate and despite recovering before the tournament ended, was never recalled to the French team.
Following France’s defeat to Argentina in the final, Benzema retired from international football and unfollowed many of his teammates on social media.
Only Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Kylian Mbappe, Raphael Varane and Marcus Thuram were spared from his social media purge.
SportBible also reported that Benzema had a falling out with Antoine Griezmann, and that many in the squad were happy when he was sent home.

FootballAs noted by ESPN, Benzema’s agent also questioned why Deschamps sent the striker home in the first place.
“I consulted three specialists who confirm the diagnosis that Benzema could have been fit from the quarter-finals for at least the bench! Why did you ask him to leave so quickly?”
The Madrid frontman endured a few injuries during the first half of the season, and has only scored six times for Los Blancos so far.
He will be hoping to improve on that and reach the heights of his impressive 44 goals in 46 appearances last season.
Benzema’s advisor and friend, Karim Djaziri has hit out at Deschamps and the entire France coaching staff, following the Real Madrid forward's failure to feature at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Benzema left the France squad a day before the kick-off of the tournament after picking up a thigh injury, although there have been claims he was forced out of the team.
Benzema’s advisor claimed the French national team's lies will soon be exposed, as they claimed the injury had ruled him out of the tournament in Qatar, Sports Brief reported.
