Benzema: Striker’s Advisor Accuses France Coaching Staff of Lying

Karim Benzema’s advisor and friend, Karim Djaziri has hit out at Didier Deschamps and the entire France coaching staff following the Real Madrid forwards failure to feature at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Benzema left the France squad a day before the kick-off of the tournament after picking up a thigh injury although there have been claims he was forced out of the team.

According to Sportskeeda, Benzema’s advisor claimed that the French national team's lies will soon be exposed after they claimed the injury ruled him out of the tournament in Qatar.

"A week after his departure [from the France camp] Benzema resumed running and training, playing 30 minutes in a friendly with Real Madrid four days later. But, for Stephan, he could not take part in the tournament! Keep on lying, the truth is coming."

Benzema has since retired from the national team after the World Cup and has also unfollowed some of France’s top players on social media.

Meanwhile, French journalist Romain Molina claims Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema was unpopular with France’s senior teammates, Tribal Football reports.

Molina also revealed that Benzema was unpopular with France manager Didier Deschamps after he was snubbed in the forward’s Ballon d’Or acceptance speech.

Benzema was released by Deschamps before the World Cup kickoff due to a thigh injury although there had been suggestions there was a falling out between the player and the coaching staff.

Benzema unfollows all his French teammates

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Karim Benzema has unfollowed all the France team players on the photo-sharing App, Instagram, except Kylian Mbappe and four others.

Benzema's brutal decision follows his earlier decision to call time on his international career on the back of France's heartbreaking World Cup final defeat to Argentina.

The 35-year-old Real Madrid front man was originally named in Didier Deschamps 26-man squad however, missed out on the tournament due to a thigh injury.
