Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Real Madrid before he begins his search for a new club, after leaving Manchester United following the termination of his contract.

The 37-year-old returned to his former club to keep fit, days after Portugal’s elimination in the quarterfinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup by Morocco.

According to Metro UK, Ronaldo made a surprise appearance at Real’s Valdebebas training complex with one of his luxury cars. His sleek Mercedes-Benz caught the eyes of onlookers.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner had reportedly contacted Los Blancos management to request the use of the club’s training facilities in Valdebebas, on certain conditions.

Following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan last month, Ronaldo's contract at Manchester United was terminated, and he is currently in search of a new club.

Chelsea rule out Ronaldo move

Meanwhile, Chelsea are not contemplating signing out-of-contract Ronaldo on a short-term deal, even with the injury to forward Armando Broja, Football365 reports.

The Blues face a striking dilemma when the season resumes, as Broja has been ruled out after suffering a serious knee injury.

No negotiations are ongoing between Chelsea and Ronaldo, with the London club instead pursuing a new deal to possibly sign France and RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku.

Al Nassr manager on Ronaldo

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Al Nassr manager Rudi Garcia has spoken for the first time on the daunting reports linking Ronaldo to his club.

The veteran, currently a free agent, will have no choice but to focus on looking for a new club after Portugal exited the World Cup in Qatar at the quarter-final stage.
