Barcelona and Real Madrid are tied on points at the top of La Liga going to the Clasico in Madrid.

And Ronaldo, who has played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid, also hoped to see a great match between both teams.

When asked who will win between the Los Blancos and Catalan giants, Ronaldo was quoted by Tribuna as saying:

"I think Madrid [will win] - playing at home they have an advantage, but the two teams are playing very, very good football," Ronaldo Nazario said in his chat with Diario Sport.

El Clasico is always difficult to predict and it's no easier this time around, particularly for a player who featured for both clubs during his illustrious career.

Longest Unbeaten Run in El Classico

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Real Madrid and Barcelona will renew their rivalry when both teams meet in the first El Clasico of the season at the Santiago Bernabeu this Sunday.

Barcelona had closed in to within just three wins of Real Madrid in their all-time head-to-head record against them with a thumping 4-0 win at the Bernabeu last season, Fan Nation reports.

Barca will hope to bounce back from their mid-week setback against Real Madrid after dropping crucial points against Inter Milan, with the risk of an early Champions League elimination in sight.
