Real Madrid staged a remarkable comeback from a one-goal deficit to thrash real Mallorca 4-1 on Sunday, September 9.

Goals from Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior, Rodrigo and Antonio Rudiger were enough to hand Los Blancos the maximum points.

But, one Real Madrid player who was not happy and frustrated on the day was Marco Asensio.

Following an injury to Karim Benzema, the Spaniard was hoping to get some game-time against his former club.

But the 26-year-old had to watch the entire duration of the game from the bench.

Asensio’s completely snapped in the second half when he was overlooked by Carlo Ancelotti following an injury to Lucas Vasquez.

The Real Madrid manager opted for Dani Carvajal to replace Vasquez, which drew a fiery reaction from Asensio.

In a video spotted on Twitter, as reported by Marca, Asensio was caught throwing a huge tantrum on the touchline as he threw his bib to the ground before kicking a water bottle.

Per the report, it as he expressed his frustration over the lack of game-time coming towards him.

His behaviour drew a reaction from Ancelotti during the post match press conference.

"Asensio is angry and it’s normal. if he gets angry it’s because he wants to play and I take that into account," the Italian said.

Marco Asensio’s contract with Real Madrid expires in June 2023.
